Throughout the years, with the development of technologies and the ease access to the internet, it has brought forth the advancement in a lot of fields. This includes music.
It seems like yesterday when you wait by the radio with a pen in hand, waiting to catch the lyrics of your favorite song. Today, however, a quick Google search does the job. And with these developments, the Filipino music industry is steadily growing with it.
22 Tango Records, a Cebu-based independent record label, has continued to support local Cebuano music and artists. But this time, they welcome and encourage artists to take part in a musical bootcamp.
Conducted by founder and CEO, Cattski Espina, a musical, singer-songwriter and record producer, artists will learn practical stage and recording tips, tackle their musical identity, discuss honest songwriting and manage their creative output.
Participants will also have to the opportunity to dissect stage etiquette and explore the business of songwriting. Artists will learn to balance preparation with spontaneity and focus with fun in a studio setting, within the frame of teamwork and the constraints of a budget.
The bootcamp is on Saturday, August 12 from 9:30AM to 4:30PM at A SPACE Cebu in Crossroads, Banilad. Registration free is PHP 850 only.
