I have always thought I had ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). I get bored easily; have extremely short attention span, need constant stimulation and am super hyper. Coupled with the number of espresso and doppios , which I down daily, am turbo charged.
But being ADHD (or at least my version of it) has its positive side. Adults with ADHD are very creative and intuitive. Since your mind jumps from idea to idea, it lets you think outside the box. Finding creative solutions to all those problems as well as creative answers to get you out of that hole you’ve just gotten yourself into. A lot can be said for quick thinking and fast talking.
We also tend to notice everything, details on situations, environment and crimes to fashion. Which makes us really good critiques anyway you look at it.
Impulsivity is another trait, which can have its downside but more importantly if you took that leap you wouldn’t end up regretting wondering what if. You already did it. All great entrepreneurs are impulsive. Plus you’re spontaneous enough to strike a conversation with that eye candy who just walked in your line of sight.
Coupled with OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), I sound like I am collecting acronyms ; I may jump from idea to idea while writing but damn my laptop screen is sparkling clean!!
We all need to think out of the box every so often , box what box.? Oh let me organize my closet. . . . why are the white shirts mixed with the black. . .
